Encode Ltd. was established early 1999 as a privately held company by Mr. Thor Sigthorsson former president of Icelandic Pharmaceuticals Ltd. Encode is a pioneer in its field of operations being the first CRO (Contract Research Organisation) founded in Iceland providing comprehensive clinical research and development services to the pharmaceutical industry, based on the highest ethical standards. Encode works towards continuous improvement and high quality assurance through attention to detail, feedback, training and teamwork.

Since its founding, Encode has conducted clinical studies in Iceland sponsored by small, medium and many of the largest pharmaceutical companys in the world.
